Review & Insights of the CMCX 2023: We don't have to be superhumans
This year's CMCX took place in Cologne from June 13-14. Evernine was there as an exhibitor and CEO Alexander Roth as a speaker on both days of the conference. Here are the insights from CMCX 2023 on the topics that drove the marketers on site and how content must be thought about today under the influence of tools & tech.
2 days of CMCX - Content Marketing Conference & Exposition - and Evernine was there as an exhibitor in Cologne. Our summary? The Content Marketing Conference has undergone a fascinating development in recent years. In the past, the focus was mainly on content with a PR approach, whereas today the influence of tools and technologies on content is becoming ever greater. René Kühn and his team have managed to organize an excellent program with deep dives & B2B focus in a very atmospheric location.
This year's CMCX once again impressed with an impressive list of top-class speakers who shared their expertise in various areas of content marketing with the audience.
Services in demand in the area of “Trust & Reputation”
With CEO Alexander Roth as a speaker, the Evernine Group was part of this event, which, in contrast to a “mass event” with around 1,000 participants, was the perfect size for learning new things, making business contacts and also celebrating a little 🍻. Professional and intelligent communication remains the driving factor for business in the present and future.
With his expertise and many years of experience, Alexander Roth spoke on the second day of the trade fair on the topic of “The new possibilities of content hubs - how to lead marketing & PR into the future with a focus on results”. He showed how companies can structure themselves well and position themselves successfully, even in times of AI & increasing challenges and campaigns & brand communication. A topic that was also well received by the audience. Are you interested in the presentation? You can download the Insight directly via this link.
It was also exciting to see that we are ahead with the services we offer. Visitors found our services in the “Trust & Reputation” area the most exciting. Brand, loyalty, content & social marketing - the keywords when it comes to branding. There were questions about thought leadership and which digital measures from product & loyalty marketing are the right ones to take your own blog, social media channels or the newly implemented content hub to the next level.
The key takeaways from CMCX 2023
This interplay between branding, storytelling and emotions on the one hand and AI, new work processes and fast mass production on the other - a kind of industrialization of content and marketing - creates an interesting field of tension that inspired us a lot.
Whether it's SME marketing, communication in the healthcare sector, corporate sustainability or content marketing for gold - there were once again many exciting cases!
The topics we took away from CMCX:
➡️ AI enables us to generate content faster.
➡️ New workflows and focus are emerging to meet the need for tools to organize large amounts of content.
➡️ There are still many open questions related to AI, such as the accuracy of results, legal and performance issues and the uniqueness of content.
➡️ The brand, its story and its content remain crucial, regardless of MarTech and ChatGPT.
➡️ Emotions and a clear brand focus are important and also influence the use of AI.
➡️ We don't have to become superhumans to keep up with machines.
➡️ It's about remembering our human abilities such as creativity, empathy, courage and confidence and combining these with technology.
➡️ Teamwork is becoming even more important, various teamwork styles were discussed, e.g. diligent worker bees or strategically intelligent dolphins.
